Open communication is the key to a successful and transparent relationship. It only takes 30 seconds to send a quick message but it sure can help build long lasting trust.
UPDATE 05 April 2020:
“I showed you the big storms here recently. Up to 49kts. Thought you might like to see her still safe and sound in the marina … video attached”
Thanks again Davor, I see she’s got a turtle on her ‘back’ now! DYC Yacht now for sure.
UPDATE 26 March 2020:
“You heard about the storm … just out there checking my boats whilst you are cruising in warm Australia”
29 August 2019:
Last week I got an unexpected WhatsApp message from Davor, the DYC manager in Pula, where my catamaran is based.
It was a random update to let me know that ‘No Shoes’ has safely returned from her 3 week trip away from the base.
I am normally not privileged to ‘No Shoes’ movements, it really is of no importance and she is there to sail, but friends happened to send me pictures of her in Montenegro … so I knew the cat was a long way away from home.
At the same time, there has been some pretty rough weather around Croatia with reports and pictures of yachts on rock, so it’s nice to know that all is well:
“Hi Nils, No Shoes is back home safely. I took her to the refueling base the other day … she is handling well”
Thanks Davor, I really appreciate the message.
